Voicst

Tjeerd Bomhof is a versatile songwriter and artist. In 2001 he formed the band VOICST, together with Joppe Molenaar (drums) and Sven Woodside (bass/guitar). The band has released two studio albums, ’11-11’ (2004) and ‘a tale of two devils’ (PIAS / 2008). A tale of two devils was produced in New York by Peter Katis (Interpol) and Rutger Hoedemaekers. The album spawned singles of which ‘everyday I work on the road’ was the most successful track, becoming  a 3FM Megahit and receiving a lot of airplay. On the back of this single the band confirmed their position as the leading dutch alternative rock band who also attract mainstream rock and pop fans.

Touring

Voicst gained a well-deserved reputation for their outstanding, energetic live-shows by a strong touring record. The band supported a large range of artist from Florence and The Machine to Juliette and The Licks. Not forgetting the likes of Tenacious D. The Bravery and The Presidents of The USA.

In 2008 the band was the most popular Dutch festival acts playing every key festival.

Songwriting

In 2008/2009 Tjeerd also focussed on co-writing with other artists like Roosbeef, Perquisite, Govianca and Anouk (EMI Music). The co-write session with Anouk was extremely successful, the result being two singles of which her latest single ‘woman’. The song was a Megahit on Radio 3fm, a top 5 chart hit and massive airplay support.  Tjeerd was invited to join the EMI Music Publishing Song Island (Norway) where he wrote songs with other acclaimed EMI Publishing writers from all over the world. Currently Tjeerd is travelling across the world (New York, Miami and London) writing new material.
