The Warren Brothers sign exclusive worldwide deal with EMI Music Publishing
Nashville, January 6, 2011 -- Smash hit country and rock writers Brad and Brett Warren – aka The Warren Brothers - have inked a global agreement with the world's leading publisher of popular music, EMI Music Publishing. The partnership was announced today by EMI Music Publishing Nashville's Executive Vice President Ben Vaughn.
The long-term deal will see The Warren Brothers' phenomenal catalog of songs - as well as all new material - represented by EMI Music Publishing's network of offices around the world.
The brothers have penned hit songs for artists including Dierks Bentley, Faith Hill, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Martina McBride and Tim McGraw. McGraw's latest single 'Felt Good On My Lips', which currently tops the country charts, was co-written by The Warren Brothers.
As well as being hit country writers, Brad and Brett Warren are accomplished rock and pop songwriters. They co-wrote nine tracks on Hinder's forthcoming album, including the debut single 'All American Nightmare', and have recently been writing with artists as diverse as Lady Antebellum, Daughtry & Ne-Yo.
Brad and Brett Warren commented: "We're thrilled to be signing with the EMI Music Publishing team. The partnership is already providing us with great opportunities in Nashville and beyond, and we're looking forward to the journey ahead."
Ben Vaughn said: "Brett and Brad are great guys and two of Nashville's most unique talents and personalities. There aren't many people capable of writing a country single one day, and then working with an rock or pop act the next, and being equally successful with both of them. We are so proud to have them as part of our Nashville family and it's going to be a lot of fun."
The Warren Brothers path to becoming a hit song writing duo has been anything but ordinary. Growing up in Florida, the pair made their living as teenagers playing rock and country clubs, before signing with RCA in 1997. After a string of Top 40 songs as artists, tours with artists including Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, and several hit reality TV shows, they became full time song writers in 2005.
Their subsequent credits include Martina McBride’s ‘Wrong Baby Wrong’, ‘How I Feel’ and CMA-Song of the Year-nominated 'Anyway', Tim McGraw's ‘Felt Good On My Lips’, and Grammy-nominated 'If You're Reading This', Lynyrd Skynrd's 'Red, White and Blue', ‘The Lucky One’ for Faith Hill, and 'Feel That Fire’ by Dierks Bentley.
