Anouk is a very successful Dutch singer who is signed to EMI Records Holland.

Her previous albums reached platinum status and her album Hotel New York sold over more than 200.000 copies. Anouk received numerous awards (including one for her achievements in the Dutch Music Industry to date).

In 2007 Anouk went to the USA to work on her much anticipated new album. To help her with that she worked with Glen Ballard. He is responsible for the success of many artists, among them Shakirah, Barbra Streisand and Anastacia.

Who’s Your Momma is Anouks 8th album. It reached platinum status in the first week after it’s release and entered the album chart at number 1. In Belgium the album is also a big success and hits the number 3 position in the chart.

Three of the songs on Who’s Your Momma were written with  Remon Stotijn a.k.a Postman. The first single from that album Good God got Power play on MTV, TMF, 3FM and the best listened radio station in Holland, Radio 538.  In the charts the single went to the top 3. The second single I Don’t Want To Hurt, written with Canadian singer/songwriter Dan Hill, got Power play on 3FM and Radio 538.

This year (2008) Erlend Bratlund won the Norways Got Talent show with a cover of Anouks single Lost which she released in 2004. The single has been in the top spot of the Itunes downloadcharts and sales charts since.

On the other side of the Ocean (United States) a contestant of the popular show So You Think You Can D ance used the song during a performance. This resulted in the #45 spot of the Itunes downloadcharts and it looks like this might just be the beginning.

In Holland, her home country EMI Music released a live registration
(DVD/CD) of the mega concerts she gave in March. This DVD/CD
contains all of the songs she performed during these fully sold out concerts (80.000 people). just like we are used to, it entered the charts at #1.
