There is no need to sneak under songwriter Missy Gibson's mattress to steal her diary--she is more than willing to rip out the pages and throw them in your face. Her lyric is poetic and vivid- beautifully disturbing in its brutal honesty. Intimacies unwind, tales unravel, evoking sepia toned images that breath before you like aural scrapbook photographs. As capable a wordsmith she is, Missy also has an innate ability to craft melodic hooks thatare as memorable as the images she paints through her lyric.

Hailing from Detroit, where she often literally made an impact on her audiences by tossing her writhing body into the crowd, Missy moved to Los Angeles and began playing the clubs as Breech in 1996. Breech has since grown from it's first incarnation as a bare bones duo to its current full-band state.

Extremely prolific and in a constant state of evolution (and often revolution), Missy is part of several ongoing musical projects. Nelly Bly satisfies the torch and twang side of her, Paddy's Pig takes care of the traditional Irish side, and Fuzzy Star sees her as one half (Michael Denvir the other) of a cathartic folk rock expression.
