| Having worked with Mutt Lange and Mike Shipley on the Def Leppard album Adrenalize, Pete Woodroffe spent more than a decade
producing and sometimes co-writing with the band on the albums Retroactive, Slang, Euphoria and X. In 2001 he decided to focus on
songwriting and hooked up with Charlie
Grant who had been gigging in London as an artist.
Co-writing four songs on the debut album for the Sony/BMG band Rooster (500,000 sales in
UK and Japan) secured a publishing deal EMI in London.
Since then they’ve had two cuts with former Spice Girl Melanie C (350,000 albums) and two with
Son of Dork – the band formed by James Bourne ex-Busted (200,000 albums in
UK and Japan). They have also co-written on the Simply Red single So Not Over You from his recent album Stay (170,000 albums in the UK alone).
More recently their song Suicide Bridges is featured in the ITV drama 'Rock Rivals'. |
