| Dutch 4-piece act CH!PZ has done it again. With the release of their 3rd single Carnival they entered the official sales charts at the top spot. This is the fifth time the band has done this with a new single. The single comes from the 2nd album entitled The World of Ch!pz which entered at the number two spot after it's release in March 2005. EMI Music Publishing controls 61% on this album. The single was written by Anders Wrethof & Johan Deltinger (Roastinghouse) and is 100% EMI controlled.
The new and 3rd album is currently in the making and will be released beginning of next year through Universal Music.
On an international base things are shaping up nicely. The first platinum selling album Adventurez of Ch!pz was released in G.A.S. Debut single Ch!pz in Black (platinum status Holland & gold status G.A.S.) was number one in G.A.S. and the follow up Cowboy sold over 320.000 copies. The 2nd album The World of Ch!pz will be released next year. |
