| Nicolas Fromageau and Anthony Gonzalez come from the French alternative indie rock scene. Fans of bands such as My Bloody Valentine or Tangerine Dream, the two young guys from Antibes (south of France) started with a rock band and then, becoming interested in electro pop, create M83.
Their first eponymous album was a success. With their second opus, "Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts", released in May 2003, the band started to become well known in England, where the duet received excellent reviews from the press. A third album without Nicolas Fromageau, "Before the Dawn Heals Us", that is to be published in late January 2005, will have collaborations with French act Cyann & Ben, American female singer Lisa Papineau and actress Kate Moland. |
