As the lead singer and face of Australia’s electro – rock act, Rogue Traders and as Ramsay Street’s resident femme fatale, Izzy Hoyland, Natalie Bassingthwaighte has an international following of loyal Rogue Traders and Neighbours’ fans who just can’t get enough. Now entering its 20th season and celebrating its reign as Australia’s longest running soap, Neighbours and the world music stage are a long way from the Wollongong stage where Natalie first appeared as Tinkerbell in her year 6 production of Peter Pan.

A multi-talented musical performer Natalie played Ariel, the female lead, in the 2002 live production of Footloose and Sandy in the Australian national tour of Grease in the same year. She has starred throughout Australia and Asia taking the lead role of Adelaide Yates in Chang & Eng at the Kallang Theatre in Singapore, as well as playing June in the Australian & Asian tours of Chicago and Marks Mum in the Australian Tour of Rent.

In 2006 following her much publicized exit from the international series Neighbours, Natalie dedicated herself completely to the international release of the album Here Come the Drums. In Australia she has enjoyed 4 x platinum sales for the album, 4 x Top 20 airplay songs, 2 x Top 5 commercial singles, No.1 album on itunes, 2 x No.1 singles on itunes, 2 critically acclaimed national tours and seven ARIA nominations. Natalie performed at The 2006 MTV Music Video Awards for which the Rogue Traders received three nominations sealing the evening with an award for Best Dance Video.

Rogue Traders single In Love Again was the most added track on Australian radio at the close of 2006, along side her duet with Shannon Noll , Don’t Give Up – for the charity Beyond Blue, which sat at No.2 for ten weeks.

In the UK, Rogue Traders quickly repeated their local success debuting at No.3 with Voodoo Child followed by a tour supporting UK Band, Girls Aloud.

In October 2007, Rogue Traders released their third album Better In The Dark to critical acclaim.  Natalie's development as a songwriter is showcased on the album and the first the 2 singles, Don't You Wanna Feel and I Never Like You were both co-written by her.

Enjoying her enormously successful and well-established career Natalie Bassingthwaighte has the respect and adoration not only from the public but also from her peers in both The entertainment and music industries, establishing herself as one of the most sought after artists in Australia today.
