EMI Music Publishing signs exclusive publishing deal with hit songwriter and producer Mike Elizondo

EMI Music Publishing, the world’s leading music publisher, has signed an exclusive administration agreement with leading songwriter and producer Mike Elizondo, it was announced today.

The global deal will see EMI Music Publishing represent and market the new and future songs of one of the most in-demand songwriters of the moment. Elizondo has recently been in the studio working with Eminem on his new album, as well as teaming up with Sheryl Crow on her forthcoming album, Detours.

He has also co-written and produced 2 songs on Natasha Bedingfield’s sophomore album Pocketful of Sunshine including the U.K. single ‘Say It Again’, co-written with Bedingfield and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine. Elizondo has a song on the current Blake Lewis record, and has been writing with Esmee Denters, the first signing to Justin Timberlake’s Tennman label. All of these songs will be administered by EMI Music Publishing, as well as any other future works over the term of the deal.

Mike Elizondo has become one of the most eagerly sought after songwriters working in the industry today, having worked with artists including Eminem, Mary J Blige, Natasha Bedingfield, Dr Dre, Eve, Busta Rhymes, Nelly Furtado, Xzibit, Eric Clapton, The Game, Gwen Stefani and 50 Cent. His catalog includes worldwide hits such as Eminem’s The Real Slim Shady, 50 Cent’s In Da Club and Eve featuring Gwen Stefani’s Grammy Award winning Let Me Blow Ya Mind. He was nominated in the Producer of the Year category at last month’s 50th Annual GRAMMY Awards, for his work on Maroon 5’s hit album It Won’t Be Soon Before Long and Rilo Kiley’s much-acclaimed release Under the Blacklight.
